Spring Within Yoga & Meditation Retreat

  • Seminarhaus Breitenteicher Mühle 2 Breitenteicher Mühle Angermünde, Brandenburg, 16278 Germany (map)

Take a break from everyday life and spend a restorative long weekend at the tranquil Breitenteicher Mühle, just an hour outside Berlin in the scenic Uckermark countryside. Surrounded by nature, this retreat gives you space to slow down, reconnect with your senses, and nurture whatever in you is ready to grow.

Across the weekend, two experienced yoga teachers will guide you through a balanced mix of dynamic Vinyasa, slow, grounding flows and calming Yin Yoga, along with meditation, breathwork, deep relaxation and sound healing - practices designed to help you let go, reset, and refill your energy reserves.

Open to every level, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Come to move, rest, reflect, and head home with more clarity, calm, and connection.

All classes are taught in English, unless all participants speak German.

The programm

The retreat kicks off on Thursday, April 15th, with the first yoga session at around 5:30 pm (arrival from 3:00 pm), and wraps up on Sunday, April 18th, after brunch, around 2:00 pm.

Mornings open with guided meditation and mindful breathwork to gently wake body and mind. After a quiet break for tea, snacks or journaling, we move into dynamic Vinyasa sequences built step by step to build strength, balance and vitality, with a strong focus on alignment and awareness - creating space for real release and transformation. The morning closes with a generous shared brunch.

Practices included over the weekend:

  • 1x 90-minute gentle flow, meditation & savasana with sound bath (arrival evening)

  • 3x 90-minute dynamic morning yoga

  • 3x 30-minute early-morning breathwork & meditation

  • 2x 90-minute afternoon sessions: gentle flow & sound bath, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra

In the dynamic Vinyasa classes, we work through different areas of the body and their related energy centers, along with the life themes they connect to. Mindful movement deepens the link between body and mind, with each sequence built progressively for an accessible, engaging practice at any level.

Afternoons shift into the healing quiet of Yin Yoga, releasing deeper layers of tension. These sessions are rounded out by restorative practices like guided Yoga Nidra and slow, surrender-focused flows. To close the day, we settle into the sound of crystal bowls and mantra chanting, easing into deep relaxation and stillness.

Classes are taught in English, unless every participant speaks German.

The PlacE

Breitenteicher Mühle sits inside a quiet nature reserve on the edge of the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve, about 90 km north of Berlin. This historic water mill has been carefully converted into a retreat center with a holistic, sustainable ethos - restored to heritage-conservation standards using natural, locally sourced materials.

Powered by the Welse river, the site produces its own green electricity via a water wheel and generator, with a self-sufficient water supply and ecological wastewater treatment that keeps it fully independent from outside utilities - giving the mill a positive energy balance year-round.

The seminar house within the mill offers a calm, focused setting for retreats centered on personal growth, mindfulness and embodied transformation.

The Accommodation

Breitenteicher Mühle spans two lovingly restored buildings: the historic mill itself and the adjoining miller's house. The mill offers five comfortable double rooms, one 3-bed room, and three shared bathrooms (two rooms per bathroom). The miller's house adds more double rooms - including one spacious double with a private bathroom - plus a larger shared room with four single beds and its own bathroom.

Both buildings blend traditional architecture with warm, modern interiors. Rooms are thoughtfully furnished, bathrooms well-restored, and single beds can be pushed together for couples.

The Food

Every day includes two nourishing, wholesome vegetarian and vegan meals - brunch and dinner - plus fruit and nuts to snack on, and tea, coffee and water available all day. The kitchen cooks homemade, organic meals with love, mostly using local, seasonal ingredients. An on-site fruit and berry garden, beekeeping, and vegetable patch add to the freshness and partial self-sufficiency of the kitchen.

Across many retreats at this location, the food is consistently one of the things guests mention most - not just for the taste, but for how cared-for and nourished it makes them feel.

We're glad to accommodate dietary preferences - just let us know about allergies or special requirements when you sign up.
